Swan Ball Donates $1 Million to Friends of Warner Parks

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Swan Ball’s underwriters, supporters, and 250+ volunteers, Friends of Warner Parks is honored to be the recipient of a $1 million gift from the 2025 Swan Ball.

Swan Ball has long been a cornerstone of Nashville’s philanthropic and cultural life, and behind its national acclaim lies something deeply local: the extraordinary spirit of volunteerism that makes this tradition possible. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 2025 Co-Chairs Melanie Shadow Baker and Laura Goodall Niewold for their vision, leadership, and dedication.

This transformational gift will primarily support the Warner Park Nature Discovery Program, connecting youth to the wonder of the natural world. It will also help advance planning and design for the Nature Discovery Barn Living Building—envisioned as Tennessee’s first public Living Building and a regenerative, year-round learning hub at the Nature Center campus. In addition, the gift will sustain vital conservation efforts across the Parks, from removing invasive species and restoring meadows to maintaining beloved trails.

We are also delighted to share that Swan Ball will return to Edwin Warner Park on June 6, 2026, with Jenny Richter Corts and Jennie Garth Lovvorn Lowe serving as Co-Chairs, and Friends of Warner Parks once again as beneficiary.

The legacy of Swan Ball is built on service, generosity, and community. With your support, Nashville’s natural treasures will continue to thrive for generations to come.
