Happy Earth Week! 🌎

Looking for a unique way to #getoutside and explore Mother Earth? Here are 5 ways you can spend your Earth Week in the Warner Parks!

🌱 Picnic in one of the 16 historic shelters in the Warner Parks! Did you know that all of these historic shelters were originally built in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration?

🌱 Take a wildflower hike! The Warner Park Nature Center is offering a guided wildflower hike on Wednesday morning at 10AM. Reserve your spot by calling the Warner Park Nature Center before it fills up.

🌱 Observe spring bird banding! Watch our expert team of federally licensed bird researchers carefully capture and band birds. Bird banding helps inform our understanding of bird populations and the importance of Warner Parks for birds.

🌱 Adventure down the new dual-use trails! Originally only open to equestrians, this new 6-mile loop offers a new trail to explore - but remember, NO dogs, NO running, and NO cycling.

🌱 Explore the Warner Park Nature Center! From Nature Play, to the museum, to the pond, to the organic garden - there is so much to learn and enjoy! Open Tuesday-Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

It’s here!

Our dual-use trails are officially OPEN! What does this mean? It means that ~6 miles miles of trails, previously only open to Equestrians, is now open to hikers as well.

To ensure the safety of our hikers and equestrians, we ask that you follow a few rules on these trails:

🥾 Pedestrians always yield to horses— step off the trail and announce yourself with a calm voice
🥾 No cycling
🥾 No trail running
🥾 No dogs

'Tis the season for Spring Fundraising events at the Warner Parks and we need YOUR help! Shift dates and times below ⬇️

🌷 Tuesday, April 16th, 10am to noon
🌷 Thursday, April 18th, multiple shifts available from 3:30pm to 7:30pm
🌷 Saturday, April 20th, 2:30pm to 5pm (Must be able to lift heavy-ish boxes)
🌷 Wednesday, May 1st, 1pm to 4pm
🌷 Thursday, May 2nd, multiple shifts available from 8:30am to 4pm
