This summer, our BIRD team recorded their first ever recapture!

A Pine Siskin banded in November 2020 has just been recorded at a station in Farwell, Michigan... 600 miles north! This exciting news will contribute to a larger understanding of these birds' migration movements.

The Trail Restoration Project is well underway! Ou

The Trail Restoration Project is well underway! Our incredible trail crew from @tailoredtrails has completed over 12,000 linear feet of the Burch Reserve and has now moved on to the Red and White Trails.

The trail crew uses both machinery and hand tools to shape and level the trail, compact the surface, remove invasive plants, fill in divots, and divert water off the trail. They have also installed additional drainage pipes and several reroutes to allow for some older sections of the trail to heal.

Cecile and Ray have volunteered at the Full Moon Pickin' Parties every summer for the last 6 years. On Saturday, they even celebrated their 55th anniversary together working the beer station!
