In celebration of 100 Years of Warner Parks, we are releasing our very own specialty Tennessee license plate!
Show your support for our beloved Warner Parks everywhere you go – and help us raise awareness for the preservation and conservation efforts taking place in our Parks everyday.
A portion from every plate sold will be donated to Friends of Warner Parks, helping with the preservation, stewardship, and protection of Percy and Edwin Warner Parks.
How it Works
1. Register
We need 1,000 Tennessee residents to preorder the specialty plate before production can begin.
2. Production Begins
Once we reach our 1,000 plate pre-production goal, we will submit all orders and payments to the Tennessee Department of Revenue.
3. Ready for Pick Up
The State will produce and distribute the plates to local county clerk offices for pick up. You will be notified by mail from the State when your plate is ready.

What if I live in another state?
We appreciate your support, but unfortunately, this plate is only available to Tennessee residents.
How much does the plate cost?
The cost of a specialty license plate in Tennessee is $35 per year. This includes the standard specialty plate fee, state fees, and a tax-deductible donation to Friends of Warner Parks. This is in addition to the standard state registration fee and any local wheel taxes.
Do I need to pay any additional wheel tax?
If your county charges a wheel tax, the payment will be made directly to your county clerk’s office when you pick up your plate.
When will I get my plate?
The Warner Parks specialty license plate is a preorder. Once we reach the required 1,000 preorders, Friends of Warner Parks will submit the initial order to the Tennessee Department of Revenue.
From there, the State of Tennessee estimates that it will take approximately 4–6 months for the plates to be produced. Once the plates are ready, you will receive notification about when your plate is available for pickup at your local county clerk’s office.
Can I personalize my plate?
You cannot personalize your plate during the initial preorder process, but you can personalize it at your next renewal.
Can I preorder a plate for somebody else?
Yes, if they are a Tennessee resident. Please list their full name, address, and county on the preorder form.
What if my current plate expires before my new plate arrives?
You would still need to renew as normal. When your Warner Parks plate is ready, you will receive a credit for any unused registration time (unless your tags expire within 30 days of pick up). Your new tags will then be valid for 12 months from the date you receive your specialty plate.
Where do the proceeds go?
Under Tennessee’s specialty plate program, a portion of the proceeds will directly support Friends of Warner Parks and our work to protect, steward, and enhance Percy and Edwin Warner Park.
What happens to my current plate?
Once you pick up your new plate, your old plate will no longer be registered to a vehicle.
Can I order plates for multiple vehicles?
Yes, as long as they are registered in Tennessee (excluding commercial vehicles). Please submit a new form for each plate purchased.
Is this the final design?
This is the final design. The State of Tennessee approves and prints the license plates and may require minor changes. The image above is approximately what the license plate will look like.
Who designed the license plate?
The plate was designed by artist Laura Baisden of Camp Nevernice, a custom letterpress and illustration company based in Nashville, Tennessee.
