New Signs & Maps + Historic Stonework Restoration
Park users will notice quite a few updates to trails, maps, and stonework throughout Warner Parks. And there are still more to come!
Already in the Works
Metro Parks is in the process of creating and installing 30 new signs along the Old Roadway in Edwin Warner Park as well as the Scenic Loop. These signs are currently in production and will compliment the signs recently installed along the 5.8 and 11.2 in Percy Warner Park. Much love, Metro!
Additional signage has also been installed at the Burch Reserve to inform the public of its sensitive nature and the importance of no dogs, trail running, and cycling. Funded by Friends.
Friends of Warner Parks also funded the construction of new kiosks throughout Warner Parks and is in the process of designing new maps for the: Warner Parks HQ, Woolwine Entrance, Nature Center Trailhead, Vaughn’s Creek Cross Country Course, and the Hill Forest Property.
Power of Public-Private Partnership
Shoutout to the tremendous Metro Parks staff and work crew who manage the construction, installation, and management of all of these amenities. It’s anything but easy, and we’re honored to partner with them to ensure you enjoy a safe and pleasant Warner Parks experience.
So too, the Stones
So too has Friends of Warner Parks funded the restoration of 6 historic stone pillars that were damaged along Old Hickory Boulevard. Three are already restored, and the final three should be complete by March 1st. Drive safe, everybody!
