We’re pleased to share that Edwin Warner Park is now open.
This important milestone reflects an extraordinary, around-the-clock effort by the Metro Parks Maintenance Division, working alongside Bartlett Tree, the Warner Parks SWEAT Crew, Warner Parks staff, and additional contract crews to address the extensive storm damage across the Warner Parks system. Thousands of downed trees and hazardous conditions have required careful, coordinated work to ensure the parks can reopen safely for visitors.
We are also deeply grateful to the volunteers who stepped up last week to assist with a campus cleanup at the Warner Park Nature Center. Community support continues to make a meaningful difference during this recovery period.
Percy Warner Park Update
Cleanup efforts continue in Percy Warner Park. Additional equipment arriving Monday will help accelerate the process, and as work is completed in other areas of the county, more resources will become available to support reopening Percy’s paved and unpaved trails as quickly and safely as possible.
For everyone’s safety, we ask that you please do not enter closed areas while cleanup operations are underway. Crews remain actively at work, and conditions in closed sections are not yet safe for public access.
