If you find yourself in Clare’s Meadow between 7 a If you find yourself in Clare’s Meadow between 7 and 8 most mornings, you might see Benji Armistead walking his dogs, Flora and Waylon. Clare’s Meadow was created in the spirit of Friends of Warner Park's founder, Clare Armistead, to restore an ecosystem that has become increasingly rare across Tennessee. Native meadows provide critical habitat for birds, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators while supporting healthier soils and more resilient landscapes. We asked Clare’s son, Benji, to share his experience of watching the meadow come to life. In his letter, he describes goldfinches flying through a sea of Black-eyed Susans, the visitors who slow down to admire it, and what it would mean to his mother to see people finding joy here. Read his letter at the link in our bio and come see the beauty of Clare’s Meadow for yourself 💚 Photos by @tlcoutside
