Our resident and Neotropical migratory birds are breeding in Warner Parks. Join us for summer bird banding at Warner Park Nature Center to observe our federally licensed bird banders collect information for the Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship research. Our long-term banding station is open to the public and has been on-going since 1982 to help us better understand bird populations and the importance of Warner Parks for birds.
Leader: Laura Cook and BIRD Team
Capture the magic of the summer solstice with a short walk through the forest, where we will gather fallen leaves, acorn caps, mossy twigs, and other natural items to create a fairy house village.

Stop by the Nature Center to explore nature with a Naturalist! This outdoor exploration will focus on discovery, observation, and connecting with nature. The themes will be chosen the week prior.
Join us for a stroll as the sun sets. Then as twilight darkens the sky, in the true spirit of a midsummer’s night celebration, we will enjoy mead from a local meadery. To close out the night, we will sit around a fire to read poetry and passages about summertime on the shortest night of the year.
