Each year in August and September, hummingbirds from the eastern United States migrate down to Mexico and Central
America where they will spend the winter before heading back north in the spring. Started in 2002, our hummingbird banding research focuses on the health, timing, and population dynamics of migrating hummingbirds. Join us during a banding session to observe the banding process and learn all about hummingbirds.
