Be a Volunteer Share your talent and time to make a positive difference in Warner Parks! There are abundant volunteer opportunities for people of all abilities and interests. Your efforts will mean the Parks are cleaner, safer, and better preserved for all to enjoy! Get involved: call 615.370.8053 or click below. Volunteer in the Parks Help the Nature Center Program Volunteer: Help staff naturalists provide quality programming for the public and increase your knowledge of wildlife and conservation. Field Trip Naturalist: Give guided tours through the museum and the Nature Center grounds. Gardening, Grounds & Landscape Support: Help maintain the teaching gardens (wildflower, herb, and vegetable), learn about organic growing, and maintain pathways, the greenhouse and the diverse landscape on the Nature Center campus. Front Desk: Greet patrons and provide clerical support. Help Out in the Parks ParkWatch: Help keep Warner Parks secure and in tip-top shape. In this non-confrontational program, you spend time in the Parks and report what you witness. Invasive Plant Removal: Join staff on organized removal and restoration days. Do your part to protect our native species. Adopt a special area of the Parks: Restore and maintain the area by keeping it free of trash and exotic plants. Trailwork: Help keep trails clean and safe, including removal of fallen tree branches and regular clearing of bridges. For those with the interest and experience, the trail manager may solicit more involved projects. Help Friends of Warner Parks Special Events: Join us as we put the fun in fundraising at Friends of Warner Parks’ Full Moon Pickin Parties or the Rock & Road Relay Marathon/5k. Office Support: Assist with mailings, greeting visitors and answering phone calls, and performing clerical work in the Warner Parks Headquarters to support Friends of Warner Parks and Metro Parks staff. Park Outreach: Represent Friends of Warner Parks during outreach days in the Parks. Under the shade of our tent, offer water to Park visitors and their pets. This is a great time to meet other users of the Parks, informing parkgoers about Friends of Warner Parks’ mission and how they can take part in caring for their Parks!
