Friends of Warner Parks announces The Treasures of Warner Parks by the Tennessee Watercolor Society
The Nashville Region of the Tennessee Watercolor Society (“TnWS”) is partnering with Friends of Warner Parks (FOWP) to present an exhibition of water media paintings featuring the Warner Parks.
Warner Park Nature Center is a place where people and nature come together. As a facility, we serve as a jump off point for exploring the 3,200 acres of Nashville Metro Parks’ Percy and Edwin Warner Parks, providing natural history and education reference for individuals and groups. We promote and serve as a resource for organic gardening and native plant landscaping and offer a wide range of environmental education programs, school field trips, educator training workshops, outdoor recreation programs and other special activities for people of all ages.
The exhibit will showcase many of the diverse activities, stunning vistas, favorite icons and natural beauty found in our sanctuary in the city. Over 20 artists will be representing TnWS. A portion of all sales will benefit FOWP. Learn more about TnWS at http://www.TnWS.org. The exhibit will be located at the Warner Park Nature Center, 7311 Highway 100, Nashville, 37221 from April-May 2017 and will include the following:
Opening Reception & Silent Auction Friday, March 31st, 5:30-7:30pm
Plein Air Class Tuesday, April 25th, 9:00-12:00pm (rain date – Fri. April 28th)
Friends of Warner Parks is dedicated to the preservation, protection, and stewardship of Percy and Edwin Warner Parks. It works to protect the natural and historical integrity of the area by supporting appropriate recreational activities, maintaining and enhancing its features, and promoting programs that inspire appreciation and conservation of the Parks.
